Erdman understands her as Blake's personification of nature as both Eve and the Garden, recalling that pleasant time before the Fall i.e. before private ownership gave rise to man's exploitation of man. One of 750 numbered copies thus bound (of a total edition of 808), printed on Arches pure rag paper. *Blake completed only one copy of The Book of Ahania, which continues the story of the Book of Urizen, and he never included it in any list of his productions. The paper for this edition was specially made to match that used by Blake, with the addition of his monogram as a watermark.
