Price: US$250.00 + shipping

Description: First Edition. "A thrilling, red-blooded tale of a picturesque character against the background of hell-roaring towns where men drank, quarreled, killed and went about their business. Gordon Lillie, as Pawnee Bill, the hero of countless men and boys of this and past generations, stood in the doorway of the restaurant in Caldwell one Saturday afternoon. Before him were cattle thieves, horse thieves, Indians, desperadoes, women with hard eyes and painted cheeks. He stood on the threshold of a career that was to be one of the most colorful and stirring in the annals of the glamorous Southwest." A very uncommon title to be found in dustjacket. Near Fine but for mild cocking, in Very Good dustjacket, some wear at front spine edge, shallow chipping at lower spine end.
