Signed (no inscription) on title page and inscribed by author to original owner on ffep. The author was a Fellow of the American Ornithologists' Union, Professor of Ornithology and Director of the Museum of Natural History, University of Minnesota. Edges and endpapers darkened. Boards show minor wear to corners and head/tail of spine, a couple of light scuff marks. Errata slip laid in. Due to weight of book extra shipping charge may apply.

Description: Hardcovers, in what may be the original dust wrappers. Green cloth. First Edition; SD, NAP. The binding are very clean & bright. Bright gilt. The endpapers are age-toned (from contact with the dust wrappers). A bit of age-toning to the page edges. A couple small spots on the bottom page-edges of V2. Else the pages are clean. The plates are clean. The plain brown-paper dust wrappers are age-toned, and show a bit of edgewear. A title-box has been excised from the top portion of each dust wrapper; some wear, short tears around this area. The front spine fold of the V2 dust wrapper is almost completely split - now protected by a Brodart. Overall, a very nice First Edition set.
