Description: Quarto; in green marbled paper backed in green cloth with titling on the spine in gilt; on the recto of the first leaf is the design from the title page, with names of famous bookmen printed on it, second leaf blank; [I], half-title; [3], title; [5], contents; 7-8, introduction; 9-65, text; [67], colophon; repeat of the design from the first blank leaf on recto of the last blank; this is #201 of 250 copies, signed by Henry Morris; prospectus is laid in.~~The edges of the slipcase are sunned; there is some discoloration at the hinges, presumably from the binder's glue; the token from a whore-house is in a small envelope attached to the rear pastedown.~~From the Colophon: "Two hundred and fifty copies of this book have been printed with Centaur types at the Bird & Bull Press in North Hills, Pa. The text paper is Hodgkinson's hand made "Bird & Bull" Royal. The three other papers used were made at the Press; two of them with the cooperation of certain local wasps and my magazine publishing friends. The publisher's have already been identified but I never knew the wasps, or even which particular species I was dealing with. Since there are about 2000 varieties I trust the omission of these details will be forgiven. It has been wonderful working with the people and insects that have helped me put this book together ."~~NOTE; There is a brass whore-house check in a pocket attached to the inside lower cover. Very Good binding.
