Description: "First Edition" on its copyright page, and publisher's original "$6.95" price on the front flap of its dust jacket. This book is in very good condition, marred only by light wear on its spine ends, plus a tiny bit of lean. Its binding is sound, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unmarked and unworn. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: whole and bright, marred only by a 1/2" stain on the bottom edge of its back, plus some very light wear on the ends of its spine and front flap fold, but otherwise unmarked and unworn. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.

First edition, stated & signed by the author, of this anthology of stories containing the self-named novelette winner of both Hugo and Nebula Awards for best science fiction. The story set within Asimov's Robot series universe contains echoes of Collodi's Pinocchio, as well as his further explorations into the nature of humanity. Adapted into the 1999 film directed by Chris Columbus fo Columbia Pictures, starring Robin Williams, and screenplay by Asimov & Silverberg. Other stories explore the implications of the death of the President of the United States at the Tricentennial in 2076, or was it his robot doppelganger.
