(The second impression was published only a month after the first impression: 'First impression, September, 1922, Second impression, October, 1922) ***Good in navy blue cloth-covered boards with red titles to spine and red titles and double red borders to front board. Please note that there is a 1cm tear, with rubbing and wear to the head of spine. There is very small 1cm loss to top outer corners of pages 29/30 and 39/40 (which could easily be rectified by a paper conservator). Very small dent to outer edge of rear board. Tail of spine slightly rubbed and nicked. Edges and corners of boards rubbed. Spine tight. Very sporadic light foxing to bottom edge of text-block. Light offsetting to front and rear endpapers. Pages clean. No inscriptions. No internal foxing. No dustwrapper. ***190 mm x 130 mm. vii prelim pages, including contents, plus 386 pages and a six-page catalogue of the latest novels by F.
