In 1911 he married his cousin Eva Rosenfeld. Eva Rosenfeld and Anna Freud became close friends and in 1927 founded (together with Dorothy Burlingham) a school in Vienna where most of the students underwent psychoanalysis. / From the library of Victor Ross, whose parents were Valentin and Eva Rosenfeld. Victor Ross (1919-2021) b.Rosenfeld, was required to anglicise his name whilst serving in the Pioneer Corps in WW2. The family were Austrian Jewish refugees, fleeing from Nazi occupation to London. Ross later became Chairman of ReaderÕs Digest, Europe, and an author. He conceived and led the 'Thank You Britain' fund in the 1960s, raising £96,000 (well over £1 million in todayÕs terms) within the Jewish refugee community from central Europe, for a scholarship fund and series of annual lectures at the British Academy.
