Another case for the legendary detective partnership of Hercule Poirot and best friend Captain Arthur Hastings, a military man of great bravery who faced death unflinchingly when confronted by 'The Big Four' and who, when forced to choose between Poirot and his wife in the novel of the same name, promptly chose Poirot.

Description: A first U. S. edition of Murder in Mesopototamia published in the same year as the UK first edition. This edition exhibits the publishing flaw by Dodd that apparently ran across the entire printing run. The flaw is characterised by vertical tracking in a rust colour across intermittent sections of the book. Otherwise the book is in very good condition with minimal wear to the edges of the original turquoise boards. Clean end pages. The price clipped dust jacket has some small loss to the spine and fold ends. A 6cm tear on the front edge of the spine fold. Lightly browned. 8vo 295pp.
