The book has light bumps to the spine ends and cover corners, a few faint spots and smudges to the covers and spine, mild smudging to the edges of the text block, a previous owner's name to the first free end page, and a brief penned notation to the spine (11/UA-220), otherwise a solid, tight Near Very Good copy in a Good only early dust jacket, which features an image of Burroughs along with 28 titles on the rear panel, and 25 ERB titles on the interior. The jacket has bumps with chips and tears to the spine ends and corners, a small floating chip at the head of the spine that affects the title, edge wear with small chips and creased tears, light rubbing to the covers, and the penned notation is repeated on the spine. Jacket is wrapped in a Mylar cover.

Jacket has a fair amount of rubbing at the head of the spine and very light rubing at the tail of the spine and tips of the outside corners. There are a couple 1/4" chips in the head of the spine and a series of smaller ones in the tail. 1/16" chip in the tip of each of the outside corners. 1/4" chip in the upper edge of the front cover and a 1/4" closed tear in the upper edge of the rear cover. 1/3" closed tear in the lower edge of the front cover.
