Very Good Minus condition book, which has some fading to the cloth on the spine and spotting to the edges, clean and unmarked inside. In a Good Minus to Fair jacket which is missing the bottom 1/3 of the spine and has general wear.

Book has a light wear at the spine and toning on the top edges. It has very slight dust soiling to the top edge of the textblock. Otherwise clean and in excellent condition. Dustwrapper has a lite wear and creasing along top and bottom edge. DW has losses at top and bottom spine tips and bit of loss at top front corner. No darkning to spine. See photos.

Dust Jacket has small chipping at spine tips (surprisingly no lettering affected - very very common defect with this very fragile DJ), and small chip at top left on front panel, largish nick loss at bottom of rear flap crease, small closed tear with related creasing at top right on front & rear panels, hint of wear to front flap crease (nick losses at flap crease corners), slight edge wear, hint of dust soiling to white rear panel (common with this light colored DJ), NO SPINE SUN FADING (another common defect with this DJ), no color rubbing to front panel which presents very nicely, no staining or soiling to panels or spine. Overall a VG+/FINE- book in VG-/VG condition dust jacket (price clipped) of a scarce 1940 UK Agatha Christie 1st printing with original DJ.
