Description: Large 8vo (220 x 165 mm.), publisher's cloth with leather onlay on upper cover, the whole ornately gilt. Sole edition thus: Marcus Ward published a smaller format version under the same title four years later. Pp. [7], 8-152, 7 chromolithographed plates plus additional chromolithographed title-page, as called for. Very fine - a virtually pristine copy, the binding detail sharp, internally clean and crisp, retaining loose plate-guards, the slightest bumping to lower corners. Uncommon in commerce and rare in this condition.
