Description: 296pp, (6.5 x 9.25 inches), b&w illustrations by Pyle, 23 b&w plates and many illustrations in the text. Good condition, hard cover, no dust jacket. Brown cloth with red and black decoration plus gilt titles. Edges and corners of the boards are rubbed and worn, top corners bumped. spine ends are frayed, corners worn through at the tips.Hinges (inside) are cracked and a little wobbly, but firmly attached. Spine is a little cocked (slanted). Contents clean and firmly bound. tissue guard over frontispiece, lower corner of rear endpaper chipped, a little pink spot on p.288 (a plate), a one inch tear to edge of p.55, a one inch chip to edge of p.12 (a plate). Owner's name and date (in pencil) on the back of the frontispiece, but no other markings. Please note: NO color plates. Heavy book, international shipping may require extra charge.
