Description: NEW & REVISED EDITION: 107TH THOUSAND : [ UNDATED POST circa 1890 ] Beautifully bound in half leather, morocco by Zaehnsdorf, with 5 raised bands, with gilt work within each compartment., only minor tiny marking, lightly faded only to spine. Internally is very secure, clean and tight. There is sporadic and sometimes heavy foxing to the text block, relatively minor to facing pages of the plates, with occasional fox spot to margins only. Pages are all edged in gilt.Includes an introductory essay by James Hannay ; and descriptive letterpress by the Rev. J. Trusler, and E.F. Roberts. [4], xviii, 201, [1] p., leaves of plates : ill., portraits. Half-title : The Works of William Hogarth incorporating an engraving: The milk maid, signed: J. Moore, sc. Remains a very good copy, with a secure and attractive binding.

Description: Original copy, recently rebound in black cloth-effect boards, new endsheets with reinforced hinges, gilt title label mounted on upper spine panel, text block edged in gilt, duplicate label tipped in at rear. xviii,200 pp. + engraved plates. Minor loss to bottom corner through latter 2/3 of text block, corner rounded and without gilt, a relatively minor cosmetic issue not affecting text or engravings. Interior generally clean, with offsetting apparent on some blanks adjacent engravings, occasional foxing; dampstaining along fore-edge to early leaves, through about p. x. Typical toning to text leaves. Very durable working copy. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall
