Description: First edition, second printing. The author is pseudonym for L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz). Illustrator was the sister of Frank Lloyd Wright. No publication date. 64 pages. This book has been carefully researched. Shelf wear on the edges. Front inside and back pages have coloring marks. Small part of the back cover is missing. Inside the front cover is a nameplate from a previous owner and the handwritten signature by previous owner. Inside cover has handwritten in pencil, a price. Binding is loose but still held together. We have made no attempt to clean this book. Book is scarce and valuable. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Description: First editions, foolscap 8vo (6 7/8" x 5"), pp. 62+ (1)printer device + (1) blank; 62+(1)+(1) blank, (1)-26, 31-58; 61+ (3) blank; 64; 64; 71 full page color illustrations. First printings each with red card endpapers, half titles with the list of the six volumes of The Twinkle Tales on the reverse, & color titles from hand lettering with List of Chapters and "Copyright 1906." on the reverse. Original color pictorial beige cloth. (Copies of these original six titles with out the point above or in paper covered boards or with Reilly & Lee imprints are later editions in all cases). Unusually clean bright near fine color pictorial cloth with slight rubbing here & there but with no chipping, very good corners & bright colors. Prairie-Dog Town which is incomplete lacking two sheets (pp. 27-31) & ends at p. 58, thus lacking the final pages is included here because it came with the rest, but it is not a factor in the pricing of the group. The other five titles are complete & have occasional spots or stains & some minor defects. There is a torn off lower corner of 1/2" only & a crease at p. 27 of Mr. Woodchuck; a mostly marginal tear of 1" at p. 17 & a mostly marginal tear with loss slightly affecting the text of p. 20 of Sugar-Loaf Mountain; a lower margin 3/8" tear at the half-title & associated lower margin edge nicks to the following few sheets & a dog eared lower margin corner at p.15 of Twinkle's Enchantment.
