This is copy #16 and is signed on the colophon by both the artist and the author. Bound in flax canvas covered boards with sample wood-engraving mounted on front cover and orange title label tipped to spine. Dark brown end papers and orange top page edges. Slight weakness to binding of pp6/7. Otherwise in fine condition. No inscriptions. Appears hardly read.

Printed on Zerkall mould-made paper in a limited edition of 175 copies. Special copies I-XXV contain a set of artists proofs including one extra engraving (printed on watermarked paper). This is copy IV and is signed by the author and the artist on the colophon. Bound in flax canvas with an illustration of stubble burning mounted on the front cover. Brown title label on the spine. The folder containing the artist's six proofs (all signed by Howard Phipps) is similarly bound. Both items have dark brown end papers and are in fine condition. The accompanying slip case is covered in brown paper with two scuff marks to cover of one short edge. Otherwise it is in near-fine condition. A promotional card issued by the publishers is enclosed within the end pages of the book.
