A very good copy. *** Controversial account of the life of a prostitute in London's West End, purporting to be written by a working girl under anonymity, but now widely considered to be written by Jonathan Gash, author the Lovejoy novels (although he continues to deny his involvement).The front cover quote is by Sir John Wolfenden, whose highly influential Report (of the Departmental Committee on Homosexual Offences and Prostitution) preceded the book’s first publication by two years.
