Description: First edition (in English), first issue (in the first issue binding), with introductory and explanatory notes, translated by S.S. Koteliansky and Virginia Woolf. This edition of both works in English was published in the same year as the first Russian publication and is one of only 750 copies in this first issue binding. The spine is covered in pale 'ice-blue' cloth, with a browned pasted white title label and black lettering, spine ends are bumped, there is also a pasted white title label to front board which is lightly stained, with black lettering. The blue pattered boards (Woolmer 20) lightly browned along edges and lightly edgeworn, corners bumped, uncut closed edges browned, light spotting to edges of some pages, otherwise 169pp clean, text clear to read, list of publisher's titles to rear (6 pages), binding sound. Size: 12mo
