Description: First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 333pp. Red cloth lettered and ruled in black at the spine and upper board. With decorated endpapers, a two-colour title page decoration and nineteen line drawings. Cloth just fractionally marked in one or two places, and with a hint of dust soiling to the top edge. A short light crease to the tip of the first four or five leaves. Printed on slightly substandard wartime economy paperstock, yet still a very good copy in somewhat distressed dust wrapper, non-price-clipped but with some considerable tearing and creasing, and with some loss to the spine ends and corner tips.
