Description: 370 pages in very good, clean condition. Previous owner's book plate on fep, and small stamp on ffep, title page and back free endpaper. Blue cloth with illustration and gilt titles. Corners are bumped and frayed. Fading on spine and edges. Head of spine is missing top 1/2 inch, tail is frayed. Front and back hinges are slightly loose, but binding is tight and intact. Interior of book is in very good condition, covers in poor condition. Overall, GOOD.

Condition Report Externally Spine – good condition – gilt titles on twin black labels, 5 raised bands, date stamped in gilt in the bottom compartment, sun faded. Joints – good condition – gently rubbed and worn. Corners – good condition. Boards – good condition – half blue leather boards, blind tooled fillets, there is a surface scratch in the leather at the top of the upper board together with some slight discolouration in the top left hand corner, slightly cocked. Page edges – good condition – all tanned and foxed. See above and photos. Internally Hinges – good condition – sound. Paste downs – good condition – plain dark blue. End papers – good condition – plain dark blue, there is a mark on the front end paper where something has been stuck to it, the first free end papers look new and are light yellow with a watermark throughout them, original end paper lightly tanned and foxed. Title – good condition – small vignette to the centre, lightly tanned. Pages – good condition – half title present, lightly tanned throughout. Binding – good condition. See photos.
