On the colophon (bound at the front) we can read - "This copy for Francis Farquhar from his friend Ed Grabhorn." Folio. 60 pp. Illustrated with folding map frontispiece, two folding reproductions of lithographs, one facsimile map, and from photographs. Publisher's presentation binding of quarter red crushed morocco over marbled boards, gilt spine lettering. Mild sunning to spine and a bit of wear to extremities but overall an excellent copy in the original slipcase.Prospectus laid in. A detailed, well-documented account of the towns and camps of the Sonora Mining Region during the period of their great activity, including reminiscences of individuals who had lived there in the 1850's and 60's. Holmes recorded all her interviews in 1925 as her thesis and it was finally published in this book in 1930.
