Description: FIRST EDITION (1925), 170 x 130 mm, 6½ x 5 inches, pink cloth, black illustration to upper cover of little girl with dolls, 71 pages. Pretty coloured frontispiece, 30 poems interspersed with charming drawings by Lewis Baumer. Spine slightly faded and with small stain, corners rubbed but not fraying, a couple of tiny tooth marks to lower cover at 1 corner, endpapers lightly browned, margins occasionally thumbed, occasional slight foxing. A good plus copy (lacking dustwrapper). Early Blyton inspired no doubt by the huge success of When We Were Very Young the year before.
