Cain later adapted the novel for the movie, Serenade (1956), which was loosely based on his original work, and starred Mario Lanza, as the humble vineyard worker who becomes a famous opera star. Also starring were Joan Fontaine, Sarita Montiel, Vincent Price, Joseph Calleia, and Harry Bellaver. Wear at top of spine, light wear to bottom, endpapers foxed, boards a bit skewed.
