Description: 1st edition Avon small-format paperback pulp of what was originally published as "Second Foundation" by Gnome Press. This Avon edition has some missing spine, yellowed pages that are brittle due to the high-acidity pulp paper used at the time for science fiction small-format books of this kind. All said, it is a rare 1st edition Asimov and is in a condition for collectors, especially those interested in these Avon books and in their unique cover illustrations. 4 3/4" wide x 6 3/8" tall.

Previous owners bookplate on the first page in, Otherwise book is a Tight sound unmarked copy in Very Good condition. Bottom half of the dustjackets spine is gone, otherwise dustjacket is in Good to Very Good condition with slight chips and creasing around its edges. The dustjacket has been placed in a Brodart protective cover by us to protect it and it looks much better than described. . This does not affect the dustjacket in any way, as all taping is done on the outside of the protector. This book is Second Foundation 1953 Book Clube edition in the same size and format as the Gnome Press First Edition.
