Description: 1st edition thus. An omnibus volume containing the following 6 stories: Operation Terror, Checkpoint Lambda, and Invaders of Space - by Murray Leinster; and The Crack in Space, Dr Futurity, and The Unteleported Man by Philip K Dick. With the original dustwrapper. The wrapper has some fraying to edges and a little mottling on the spine and back cover. It is in protective wrap. The cloth binding is nice and clean but with a hollow area to the spine caused by the width of the book. The contents are very clean and in very good condition. There is a slight mark to the bottom page edges visible only when the book is closed. A very good copy

Description: This special edition of Science Fiction Special published in 1973 Omnibuses by Murray Leinster (Operation Terror, Invaders of Space and Checkpoint Lamda) and Philip K. Dick (The Crack in Space, The Unteleported Man and Dr. Futurity). All six novels had originally been published in paperback. Sidgwick & Jackson had previously published them as separate Leinster and Dick ominbuses so this is the second hardcover edition. The blue boards have slight fading to edges and bumping to corners and top of the spine. Page edges and endpapers are slightly browned and previous owners name in ink on front pastedown under the front flap. Quite heavy creasing to the bottom quarter of page 133 and light creasing to the next three pages but otherwise pages are clean and unmarked. Jacket has some fading to the spine and small patches of surface wear and chipping and rubbing to edges and corners. Top and bottom edges of jacket have several small closed tears with associated creasing. Jacket design by John Elsegood. First printing.

Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning to pages. A few scattered spots on the fore-edge. Spine ends gently pushed in and spine cloth has a shallow vertical crease along its center. creased. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (£2.50), has some mild edge-wear and rubbing to rear panel. Still fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. Leinster's stories include: Operation Terror, Invaders of Space, and Checkpoint Lambda. Dick's stories include: A Crack in Space, The Unteleported Man, and Dr. Futurity. A very pretty collectable copy of a scarce title in such nice condition and at a great price.
