Very good in a good dust jacket and good clear acetate cover with printed title. Moderate rubbing and creases to the dust jacket extremities with a 1” wide open tear to the front panel of the dust jacket near the head of the spine. Moderate rubbing to the acetate cover with moderate toning along the spine and top edges. Old price in pencil partially erased from the half title page otherwise the interior is unmarked and solid.

Black cloth wrapped boards with "SQP" stamped and printed in black onto the front cover, the artist's name likewise on the spine (minor bump at back of heel else covers clean, fresh and with sharp corners; internally all lower page corners with a gentle 50mm diagonal bend, else a clean tight copy); photographically illustrated dust jacket (near fine with minimal edge wear); printed plastic jacket (lightly rubbed else near fine). A quite nice copy.

Description: First edition. Essay by Mark Haworth-Booth. Oblong quarto. Boards trifle bowed else fine in an about fine pictorial dust jacket with a tiny bit of wear, and modestly rubbed, near fine printed acetate jacket with a small scratch on the lower panel. Inscribed to Gus Blaisdell and Janet Lewis on the title page: "For Janet + Gus - Lewis Baltz." Additionally with a 6" x 4" sheet of corner-punched black paper with a note in silver ink: "I think you're nifty, too. LB," presumably in Baltz's hand. Blaisdell provided the essay for the previous book in Baltz's trilogy, *Park City*, and Janet Lewis was the former wife of Yvor Winters. One of 1200 copies printed. The concluding work of Baltz's "immensely influential" trilogy that defined the New Topography movement, with a nice association (Parr & Badger).
