Description: San Francisco, Grabhorn Press: Presumed first Edition by this publisher, 1927, frontis and marginal decorations from wood blocks designed and cut by Valenti Angelo. Number 117 of 200 copies issued, signed by the artist in the bottom margin of the frontis. The information on the last page indicates 195 copies but does not mention the number of this one. The numbers 117/200 are under the hand holding the sword at the left, and the artist's signature is under the "A" at the right. Decorated paper boards, slightly splayed, which is not uncommon, with blue cloth spine which shows some scuffing at top and bottom. Paper has some age toning that in no way affects the artwork or text. Although this particular play has been issued by many publishers and illustrated by several artists, this is a scarce item by this publisher, and is found mainly in institutions or on auction lists. In Very Good Condition and a solid collector's item.
