One of 1000 copies, not specifically numbered. Strong smoky odour overall. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Pencil inscriptions to rear endpaper. Text block edges very tanned. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Heavy splits to joints. Spine is noticeably sunned. Gilt is bright. Book has a slight forward lean.
