Description: Octavo. Brown buckram boards and spine with black and white lettering on the spine. Light bumping at the head of the spine and a fair amount of bumping at the tail, both with light accompanying rubbing. Light bump at the tip of the lower front corner and plenty of bumping at the tip of the lower rear corners. Ochre colored endpapers. Binding is straight and tight. Faint stamp on the lower edge of the textblock says "Property of U. S. Navy." Pages otherwise all clean, white and crisp. Dust Jacket - has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and a 1/8" chip in the tip of each of the corners. White portions of the jacket have very faint evidence of handling over time in a couple places. Lower corner of the front inside flap has been clipped off. Small Doubleday & Company sticker on the upper corner with a $5.95 price. Later printing - determined by different code in the gutter of page 405 (03 N). Nice overall appearance.
