The animal outrage is not just confined to being subjected to the dinner plate - several stanzas and an illustration are dedicated to the impact of human technology such as airplanes, which cause ducks to note "'twas now impossible to fly." There is also an anti-vivisection rabbit, and a group of sharks disturbed by submarines. Crane illustrates these disgruntled animals with just enough absurdity to steer RUMBO RHYMES clear of ANIMAL FARM territory. This is a beautiful copy. 9'' x 6.5''.
