Price: US$19.95 + shipping

Description: New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. Very Good condition. Light cover soil. No owner's name or bookplate. Tight and unmarked. Inner hinges are perfectly sound. This copy's points agree completely with that described as "First edition, first printing" in RING LARDNER, A DESCRIPTIVE BIBLIOGRAPHY (Bruccoli/Layman A21.1.a). Bruccoli/Layman go on to list the earliest Literary Guild appearance as the "second printing" but concede that priority remains undetermined, and that the two could have been published simultanously. In any case, this Scribner first is a lot scarcer. . First Edition. Hardcover. Original green cloth, gilt/No dust jacket. 8vo. viii, 467pp.
