Condition: Very Good
Description: Quarter olive green cloth gilt with Swedish marbled paper-covered boards, slipcase, folio, 123, (2) pages + twelve original full-page collagraph-intaglio plates. One of 220 numbered copies designed and printed by Will Carter at the Rampant Lions Press from Ehrhardt and Palatino types on mould-made Wookey Hole paper and signed by the author and artist. The color collagraph intaglios were printed by the artist on inserted Fabriano Umbria handmade paper. A mis-understanding arose about the publishing arrangements as David Godine thought he was the American co-publisher, not just the distributor; at the last minute he was able to have his imprint set on the title-page of about thirty copies. A clean, better than very good copy with minor signs of use to the covers, in archival mylar, in a moderately worn green silk-covered board slipcase.
