Description: Hardcover The dark red cover has a paper pastedown with the title in blue and Robinson Crusoe talking to a parrot; the spine has the title in gilt, but it is faded. The corners are lightly bumped and shelf worn as are the top and bottom of the spine; the trimmed, fore and bottom edges have a little bit of darkening. The paste down has a couple of chips, but very small; the edge of the cover has a dent and the cloth has a small cut there. The endpapers are of Crusoe with an umbrella standing by the ocean; it has some light foxing and a former owners name and address in pen, the binding is cracked before the frontispiece, but holding well. The frontispiece is in color with Crusoe on a raft, the title page has a ship and the ocean in color. The interior is age yellowed, but very clean; there are thirteen colored illustrations throughout the book.

Thumb-print-size stain on page 362; similar stains on the tissue-paper frontispiece cover. The pages are clean, free of marks, bright. The colors of the illustrations are bright as new.
