Charles Monteith, Fellow of All Soul's, was an Editor at Faber from 1954-1980 and published Seamus Heaney among many others. Very good. Patchy fading to the front warp, edges faded to rear. A few speckles to top edge and a few spots to top fore corner of rear, a very few small speckles throughout. Some creases to wraps.

(The recipient - a British war-time evacuee to the USA as a child - became a staff writer at `The New Yorker' for 35 years and published therein a long, boring piece about walking the River Boyne with Heaney in the mid-1970s.)
