Description: British edition, seventh printing, December 1919 (first printing of this edition was September 1905). No jacket. Large format. Profusely illustrated by Arthur Rackham. All colour plates and associated captioned tissue guards are present and in very good condition. 62 pages of text with all illustrations (apart from the frontispiece) following the text. Green boards with darker green lettering to spine and darker green lettering and design to front are very good with minor pushing/bumping to corners, a few small marks, patchy browning (including to spine), the odd minor bump/rub to edges and a little wear (pushing/rubbing/little fraying to the cloth) to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Large gift inscription and date in pen to front end-paper. Pages bit tanned. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. One larger old mark to top edge of a few pages. Inside boards/end-papers faded with the occasional small mark. Occasional marks/scattered foxing to pages. Tissue guards bit tanned with the odd small mark/crease/spots of foxing. No other faults. A nice copy. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.

Description: 1919. Good condition with no wrapper. Frontis and 50 superb colour plates, tissue-guarded and mounted on green card at rear of book. 62 text pages. Green cloth, green titles and vignette to front cover. Spine bumped, worn and browned with small splits to the cloth. Top corners badly bumped with top rear corner almost split. Bumping to bottom corners. Bottom board edges bumped and rubbed. Covers a little grubby. Book plate to front pastedown. Browning to front endpapers and some of the mounts for the plates. Inscription in ink to half title page. Some hinges are cracked. Some fingering. Creasing to a couple of plates. Top of book is bowed. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

Description: Gilt stamped embossed leather. 1919 reprint of 1905 edition with fifty color illustrations by Arthur Rackham. Very good condition with some wear to corners of binding. Card mounted on front free end paper indicates this book was given as first prize at a Scottish school sketch club in the year 1932 or 1933.
