Description: First English Edition. Green cloth with gilt on spine and portrait on front & rear covers. Gilt dulled. Covers shelf rubbed. Spine age darkened. Thin bubble in cloth on right side of front cover. Lacks tissue facing frontis. Endpapers browned, appear to have been replaced. Tear in paper on lower half of front hinge. Webbing still tight. Spots and stains in text. Half-title page speckled, with small pink stain near top edge which has been erased creating a couple of tiny holes. Title page stained.
