Description: Reprint, still in the Rinehart dust jacket (with $2.00 price on flap) and binding, but with the Walter J. Black title page. Very good in a like dust jacket. The page edges of the book are a little spotted. The jacket spine shows faint dampstaining, and there is a little edgewear.

Bound in blue cloth with titles in red and blue on the spine Square, tight and clean throughout with just a hint of edge-wear. Two pages toward the rear that had been unopened, have a couple of closed tears and chips where they were roughly split apart. Otherwise a remarkably well-preserved copy. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00), has some rubbing and tiny closed tears. Spine mildly fade. Still fresh and bright. A very pretty collectable copy and uncommon in such outstanding condition.

Contains the required publisher's initial at the bottom of the copyright page. Johnny Marr is grief-stricken because of the death of the girl he loved. He wants to extract revenge for her death and he does so in a way that costs five people their lives. In our opinion, perhaps Woolrich's finest tale in the "Black" series of books. An attractive copy.
