Description: This second printing Fine quality Landmark book was published by Random House in 1958. The book is pristine: it is square, very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; there is no fading or soiling. The spine ends are very lightly bumped and the bottom edge has no wear; the hinges are strong. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks and stains of any type and paper damage of any sort. The paper is slightly toned but is very flexible. The only internal flaw is a small triangle of the rear paste down that has been torn off--only the top layer of paper is missing and no part of the end page colorful illustrations was affected. The VG+ quality jacket has no fading; it does have tiny bits of wear at the front corners and at the head and heel of the spine (see photo), plus a small something stuck on the lower part of the rear panel near the gutter. The jacket is not clipped. This is a "Young Readers of America" (BMOC) and thus there are no book lists in the book or on the jacket.
