Burgundy cloth binding, embossed lettering to front board, gilt lettering and detail to spine. A little marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still vivid, though a little discolouration to spine. Some signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Slight slackness to binding but book contents reasonably firm, apart from a loose plate between pages 80 and 81. Page edges a little browned, scuffed, foxed and a bit marked. Some marking to endpapers, slight staining to edges of pastedowns and endpapers.
