Upper hinge cracked, foxing to end papers, previous owner inscription in pen to half title page. Pencil annotation to list of illustrations indicating which are by Arthur Rackham. Some grubby marks throughout and pp112 also repaired unskillfully with tape. A charming but well thumbed copy - Good only.

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with fading to the spine, bumping to the extremities, the odd slight mark to the rear and 'Wootton Lodge School's' crest to the rear. Prize label to the front pastedown awarded to 'Myra Luxton' with light scattered spotting to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with the odd spot only.
