Description: Ex-libris Rulon C. Allred with his name and address on front free endsheet of Volume I, and his pencil notes and marginalia in Volumes I and II Very good with light rubbing to edges and faint spotting to edges of text blocks. On Volume I, fore edge of rear cover is partially exposed, the damaged title page is glued onto a blank page, though the writing remains whole, and there is tape on the fore edge of the first two pages. In Volume III, the edges of three pages are bumped, and there are black stains in the gutter of the last four pages, not affecting the text. In Volume IV, there is a shallow possible rodent nibble in the fore edge of the last 80 pages, remaining discreet and not affecting the text. The index has a short closed tear and a crease along the front joint, but the contents remain very nice and clean
