Original blue cloth binding with gilt titles to spine and front. With blue, green and white Art Nouveau design and gilt titles (designed by Talwyn Morris). A VG+ bright example showing some very light t foxing to, edges and some very minorrubbing and dustiness to page-edges, plus a little rubbing to the spine-ends. Contents are very clean and firmly-bound. None of the usual dulling to spine gilt. Slightest offsetting and foxing to the endpapers otherwise clean and bright internally. 10624. A very popular and collectable edition and well above normally seen condition. 14416.

Description: No date, but believed to be 1900 (the plates are dated 1898); pp. xxi, 392. B/w frontispiece plate and 5 futher b/w plates all by Chris Hammond. Original publisher's quarter-leather binding with green cloth-covered boards, striking gilt decoration of peacock feathers, designed by Talwin Morris, to the spine with gilt lettering, binding good and bright with a small professional repair to the head of the spine, a little rubbing to the bottom of the spine, cloth unmarked, lightly worn to corners. Contents clean and tight, original light sage coloured end papers, a few spots of foxing to the half-title leaf, no inscriptions internally. Faint ownership inscription to the fore-edge. A very good copy of this scarce edition. Size: 8vo
