Description: Chincoteague pony plate is missing. Cardboard wraps w/colorfully illustrated paste-on include all parts, just some soil, & a great deal of rubbing to corners & edges, left-hand fold has 3' open tear, all other corners ruffled. Commentary booklet included - clean & bright. Plates vary from very clean & colorful to lightly soiled, to remnants of tape, to age softness at edges & one has some spillage along margin & part-way down illustration.

Minor edge marks to some, not affecting the images or white margins. Introduction by Wesley Dennis, "The Marguerite Henry I Know." Commentary by Henry on each horse featured. The fold-out portfolio covers are worn but have protected the prints from damage. The one missing print of the 27 called for is "The Chincoteague Pony."
