Archival-quality paper, page edges gilded on three sides. Translated by Benjamin Jowett & S. H. Butcher, illustrated by Leonard Baskin. Bound in the publisher's original full leather with the title stamped in gilt on the spine. Four raised hubs on the spine. Decorations stamped in gilt on the covers and spine. All edges gilt. Silk moire end papers. Hinges very sturdy. Signed bookplate was attached to backside of FFEP, now gone but what remains is a 4-1/2" x 3/1/2" discoloration confined to that one side of paper from that book plate; otherwise this book would grade as "Like New".
