Description: This copy is Gallup A42a. First edition; Faber & Faber; [1937]. Red cloth boards stamped in gold on spine; end-papers; top edge stained yellow-green. Lavender dust-jacket printed in black and red. This book is internally fine, without inscription or other defect except for the slightest forward lean. The dust-jacket presents very nicely; there are small splits at the top and tail of the gutters and the spine has faded and is a bit worn. There is some unfortunate loss to the bottom of the back cover and the top of the spine has been repaired internally (a good job). Not price clipped; the flaps are fine. A nice collection piece.
