Description: 1925. First Edition. 99 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Includes Eliot's seminal work, 'The Waste Land'. Rough-cut edges. Mild cracking to gutters, on occasion; however binding remains firm with all pages attached. Pages remain bright with minimal tanning. More pronounced tanning to free endpapers and pastedowns. Blue pen marks to top right corner of front free end paper. There are light pencil annotations to The Waste Land, pages 65-92. Minor creasing and slight tearing to edges, as expected. Occasional thumb-marking. Boards have light edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Spine is presentable with noticeable crushing and tanning. Light splits to spine edges with minor loss and fraying. Minor loss to spine label. Faint white marks and scratches overall. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.

An absolute banger that contains Prufrock and Other Observations, The Waste Land, and the Hollow Men among others. Gallup A8.

Description: First edition - one of 1460 copies (Gallup A8). After six previous publishers, Eliot's first book for the firm with which he subsequently became indelibly associated. To the first appearance here under the Faber imprint of The Waste Land, Eliot added the dedication to Ezra Pound (borrowed from Dante): "il miglior fabbro". A very good copy with some light offsetting to endpapers in the scarce dustwrapper which is rather rubbed at extremities, somewhat soiled, browned at spine and missing small chips from head and base of spine and corners (not affecting any lettering).

First edition, ordinary issue. One of 1460 copies printed, in addition to eighty-five deluxe, signed copies. It is here that Eliot's dedication of "The Waste Land" to Ezra Pound is first printed. Blue cloth with the printed paper title-label on the spine; all edges uncut; covers lightly flecked and mottled, with slight loss to silverfish to the cloth on the bottom edges and the top turn-ins; small patch of discolouration to the spine (where the price was clipped from the spine of the dustwrapper); offsetting to the endpapers; paper lightly toned; a very good copy (internally near-fine) with the dustwrapper sunned and price-clipped on the spine, lightly marked with minimal light surface loss to silverfish, with one tiny closed tear. This collection includes some of Eliot's best-loved poems, including 'Prufrock', 'The Waste Land', and 'The Hollow Men'. 'The dedication to "The Waste Land" ['For Ezra Pound, il miglior fabbro'] (which appears as an autograph inscription in the copy of the first edition given by T.S. Eliot to Ezra Pound) is first printed here' (Gallup A8a, noting 1460 copies and a publication date of 23 November 1925).

In a Very Good dust jacket with toning, light soiling, small losses at corners and spine ends, and a short closed tear to the top edge of the rear panel.

A near fine copy, with some foxing to the page edges, in a near fine dustwrapper, which shows a little general dustiness and trivial wear to the corners but is uncommonly bright and crisp. Eliot's important early collection which marked the start of his association with Faber, and collects all the key early works including Prufrock, The Waste Land and The Hollow Men. A scarce book in dustwrapper, particularly one so well preserved.
