Description: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" A fine copy in the original dark brown cloth stamped in gilt and blind; January 1st 1849 ads at front. First issue (p. 187 'Perpsichore'). This copy is near perfect, with only faint hints of wear to cloth, and occasional traces of foxing or browning to text. The binding is tight and without trace of restoration. Laid in loose is a 6-line Autograph Note Signed by Holmes, dated 1879. The A. Herbert Bellows copy.
