Description: Very Good. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. vi, 219p, 248p. Contemporary calf with a richly gilt spine and red title label. Lowndes p925: "In volume two is contained a dramatic poem entitled Mary Stuart". Byron described this writers religious poems as two volumes of chats by Sepulchral Grahame. From the Library of William Clark Esq with a contemporary bookplate. The DNB lists a William Clark 1788-1869 and describes him as a 'friend of Byron'. Could this be the same person? A very pleasant copy in a contemporary binding. Some wear to the hinges, but they are holding firm. Internally in excellent condition.
