Description: First Edition( not stated) Illustrated cover is the same as seen on the DJ. One small light discolored spot near the head of the spine. Slight bow to cover. Edges have sprinkling of foxing. Top corners of cover are turned in. There are light smudges from little fingers on several pages near the end of the book and the text and sweet illustrations are generally clean and unmarked. Binding is tight. Name of previous owner on the ffe. DJ in fair condition, faded, lightly soiled, with tears, chips and missing paper on the top and bottom edges. Original price is unclipped inside the front flap.

Description: Clean, tight, square and bright first edition (Hanrahan, A62). bound in pictorial boards with black titles on spine and front cover. PO's inscription on ffep, else fine. Dust jacket is unclipped ($2.95), with wear at head and foot of spine, light rubbing at foredges and back panel of spine, 1/8" puncture near foot of spine. Jacket is protected in removable mylar. Wahl's first book for children recounts the happy adventures of small forest creatures, winningly illustrated by Sendak. 66 pages, B&W illustrations.
