Condition: Good

Description: Hardcover. Brown cloth over boards with gold lettering on spine. Title page dated 1874, no date on copyright page. 255 pages, plus ads. In good condition. Cloth is faded along the spine and top edge of covers. A couple light scuffs to the cloth with some water stains along the top edge. Cloth is split or missing at head and foot of spine and hinges. Lettering is bright, blind-stamping on front cover crisp. Binding remains strong. Some foxing to endpapers and first and last few pages of textblock. A few spots on pages throughout, though most are clean and unmarked. Overall sturdy and fairly well-preserved. Frontispiece features black and white illustration of a man and a woman, protected by tissue guard. Other full-page black and white illustrations featured throughout.
