Description: Reprint. HB. Green cloth with gilt titles to spine and front, and pasted-on illustration to front. 126pp, quarto, 21 x 16cm. With 16 colour plates from watercolours by Arthur Rackham, as called for, with titled guard leaves; also a few drawings in the text, and a map. Good condition overall: covers have bright gilt, but rubbed edges with small cloth tears and losses to spine ends and spine near title, and some small faded patches to front margin. Contents well-bound though back internal hinge is pulling at endpaper. Frontispiece plate has small tears to margin (not affecting illustration)and creased, browned guard leaf. Original 1912 child owner's name and date on flyleaf, and his later nice bookplate inside front cover.

Description: VG+ Green hardcover with paste on drawing. Covers show edgewear and light soiling with fraying and small tears at spine ends and corners. Edges are tanned. Front tissue guard is loose with creasing at edges and light tanning. Front paste-down endpaper has signed bookplate and neat ink signature at top edge of FFE Endpapers are tanned as are edges of pages ( with light foxing). All 16 plates are clean and attached. .126 pages have a small ammount of wear with some light fingerprinting and a couple of brown spots.

Green cloth stamped in gilt with color plate pasted to front cover. Dark topstain and light green endpapers with no map. No dust jacket. Boards show light edgewear and very faint staining. Binding is sound. Previous owner's signature to rear free endpaper, but overall pages clean and unmarked. Aligns with Riall's American Edition of 1913, though here with 1910 date on title page. Overall an attractive and sturdy copy. [Riall pp. 105-106].
